Sakina Al-Amin

Hi, I'm Sakina Al-Amin, a writer based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

It has been said that all it takes to be a successful author is a dysfunctional family and a writing instrument. And so initially I began writing in order to heal. Now? I do it for the rush. And, as one might imagine, the success.

I have always put more thought into penning greeting cards and emails than for school or job applications. My best written work, though, has to be the two novels that I began when I was 12 years old. Neither is published or finished -- I reckon I'm going for a J.D. Salinger type situation by sharing that now, eh?

Until I have it all figured out, I'll continue writing about all things, especially: IsLaM, relationships, languages, females, Beyonce, middle (read: invisible) children, Moses, fashion, Kurds, nutrition, movies, En-Eye-Gee-Gee-Aiy-Aiych's and The Twilight Saga (I'm Team Edward. Deal with it).

My fees for writing are always reasonable but they vary (i.e. if the set deadline is only a couple of hours, the price will obviously be higher than a job that gives me three weeks completion time). Send me an email with a sorta detailed request & we'll dance!
